Destinations covered include Antarctica, South Georgia, Patagonia & Cape Horn, Greenland, Svalbard, and Arctic Canada. Please click here to view some pictures taken in these areas
Delivered by High Latitudes’ directors, Richard Haworth & Luke Milner, the course is highly interactive with a blend of presentations, discussion and group exercises. Having sailed many thousands of miles in remote seas and having spent countless nights in icy anchorages, the course is an opportunity to gain from this experience and learn from our mistakes. Most importantly delegates will have the chance to ask all the questions they have on high latitude yachting. Whilst of obvious interest to those considering an expedition to the higher latitudes, the course will also be of great value to any professional or amateur sailors with an interest in cruising remoter destinations or looking to expand their knowledge.
The next course will be run at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club over the weekend of 27th & 28th November 2010 & a mid week course 30th November & 1st December. Full details are below. Additional courses will run regularly throughout the year, at locations chosen to suit the majority of delegates. Cost for the course is £395 per delegate.
